I hope people weren't offended with my post... It's a silly Monty
Python's joke which seemed as right fit, as I guess the whole
fake dd issue is kinda silly too. It was aimed to people who
(us, geeks:) know the MPFC more or less, for others there was ";)"
creature. 
There were some bits of MPFC related jokes on the list during
the years, so I find it appropriate to fill in here and there :)
Somehow their humour fits in here (hey, anyone can throw some other
comment, say from Seinfeld or something but I just don't find
those selfglorifying shows funny as most of the american sitcoms
are too, (<-note: heavy bashing of USA sitcoms :) except simpsons
and maybe few more)

I've found an attempt to translate the joke (you can find indepth
analysis too :) 
"If is the now-piece (git) and (Slotermeyer)? Yes! ...
(Beiher)dog that or the pinball wood (gersput)!"

It's just jibberish in like to sound as german. It's a killing joke
British troops used against German troops in WWII. Carries deep
sarcasm about stupid and sensless (british) army strategies
during wwII. OTOH you can look at any MPFC take at different levels
from nonsense and supid to very rafied dissection of society.
This gets too OT, if anyone has some more comment about
MPFC, mail me privately, lets talk about SDiy now...

I don't see why would we fight here over anything. A newbie asking 
"taboo" question is just like in normal life when you don't
know the "internal joke" (OK, it's not joke in this case)...
Besides that, this community is rather OK as you know and contribute
to that.

Never mind Harry... We must understand him... I mean, that's the way
you probably end up hating BBDs so much :) 
He probably wated to be lumberjack rather than sdiyer :)

I hope he'll chime in here eventually... Even if he hasn't been watching
the list, he got quite few mails from list members, so he knows what's
up.
With many assumtions around him, people get polarised. Somehow is hard
to
concentrate your anger on some big company (say Yam-a-ha), over some
dispute,
other than court, as they are faceless biggie, but here we have "mortal"
small guy... If he's really a sdiyer, I guess line like "fuck, that's
the life,
we all do best for ourselves" would settle some things, as something
like
"hey mr.XY I was just inspired with your cct, otherwise it's original
design" would do too. But why would care about us? I vote that, until he
gives us some writing, keep our positions, but low and keep the talking
usefull stuff...
