Hi list,
Its has been the second time now that someone felt "unwanted on the list"
because of the reactions after he unknowingly used the name Doepfer.
And with the somewhat bitter jokes of the resent D* remarks I got a curious
about how pp would react if Dieter did jump in.
So I decided to troll a bit, still assuming a bit joking like response.

However some of the reactions tell me that this Doepfer thing has reached a
point where its no longer pretty.
A run over a (your ethnic variety here) joke can be funny, but not if it
comes from a racist.
I _don't_ intent to say or imply that the run over a Doepfer jokers are
racist, but it illustrates how I feel things had come a bit far.

Maybe its time that some of you try to sort things out with Dieter.
Maybe this can get nasty because of the commercial interest, probably not,
but when if, so be it.
The D* ghost on the list is also nasty and IMHO we're better off without.
On the other hand Dieter started out as a DIYer so who knows, he might want
to contribute to this list.

A short remark on the Heil thing.
I didn't want to make it realistic and felt using Heil would be a dead
giveaway for those who missed the @hotmail address.
Think it was a bit careless not to take the nazi association in account,
especially when impersonating a German. Sorry about that.
Say hello to god, or Gruss Elvis, would have been a better choice.

BTW A longer and OT remark about the Heil thing.
Some seem to think Heil is a nazi thing, in itself its not. Heil comes from
the Roman Salut and was used throughout Europe in the middle ages (go ask
Shakespeare) and a long time thereafter. In Holland and Germany up to ww2,
although it had become rather formal writing stile.
It means 'be blessed, salvation to you, don't get ill', well you get the
point. In fact the Dutch name for the "Salvation Army" is "Leger des Heils"
(army of blessings???).
