A made a few painfull experiences with sliders.
-it is a lot of work to get the slots into alu
-except very quite expensive units, sliders suffer from dust
(anyone here with a Roland 100M? the sliders in this
machine are a real ^#%($^&^..., I think also ARP
users will confirm that)
-I think that resolution even of cheap rotary pots is
better then that of mid price sliders
only exception: mixing console LONG 100mm sliders with
precision mechanism, I think they cost about 25 Euro each.
=> recommendation: forget about using sliders
