[sdiy] Looking for info on freq. counters (SDIY-compatible ;)

I don't like a frequency counter for synth calibration... they take too long
to update at low frequencies if you want good accuracy,

I use a scope (for rough measurements) and a Korg DT-1 Digital Tuner...
I use the scope to keep the digital tuner "honest" and use a precision
voltage reference I whipped up with some hand matched 1% (to 0.1%)
resistors. Rotary switch lets you jump through eight octaves, enough for
most VCO's.
