well i understood it to be a sort of adjustable "predelay" which occurs 
before the attack even starts. honestly though, I wasn't clear abt the hold 
i meant. I was actually thinking of a gated hold during any part of the 
envelope. freeze is probably a better way to describe it. sorry bout that.
