Take a peek at the SAS-VCO, which is the ASM-1 VCO but with triangle
and sine added. The SAS-VCO also has at least one fix done to it which
helps in the tuning procedures.

There are a few people here that has done that. I think you are better
of with the ASM-1 VCF than the 12 dB filter from the Formant. The 24
dB filter from the Formant has some rare properties, but we can lurk
them out of many filters if we only tries.
