Someone posted the notator-link in his email (thanks!) and while
clicking about through their netiquette*, I found a very useful
site about turning off the HTML in email.

it covers M$'s dangerous Outlook shit, as well as 'how to live
with a America Off Line software' (my words)
HTML does not belong in email, and for safety you want scripting
to be turned off too.
BTW:
We do use fake HTML from time to time, mostly to flag humour,
<cartman immitates "Aliens"> mostly </cartman>

suggestion once, and I got convinced that not having a digest
contributes a lot to the health of this list, to the point that I
will happily defend the 'no digest' opinion.
