yeah, now i'm gonna have too many of those damned connectors in my 
ware-house. i ordered three of them yesterday (two for the sampler and one 
for a 1/4" input) and just today found someone who can apparently get me a 
cable from roland. i guess they use the same 13 pin connectors for their 
guitar synths or something. thanks to everyone who responded to my questions 
and tolerated my inexperience.
