Are there any bibles of DSP algorithms out there - I'm thinking like the
Op-Amp Cookbook, Active Filter Cookbook, Electronotes, etc. but for digital
and algorithms instead of IC based analog stuff.

I've just got preferred circuits and the musical engineers handbook from
electronotes but I do know they shifted their focus towards digital at some
point - don't know if that means algorithms or not.

This is best book in my library on the topic:

Digital Audio with Java by Craig A Lindley. Includes a CD-Rom full of Beans

This is a code cookbook, Oscillators, Filters, Chorus, Flanger, Compression,
Limiter, Noise Gate, Delay, Distortion, Equalizer, Pitch Shift..... Also
stuff on controls, buttons, meters, displays, scopes, analyzers.....

Java is good and platform independent, at least until microsoft started
fiddling with it. Yet another innovation from microsoft.
