[sdiy] Anyone ever build a sampler?

Possibly a lot of the people (I did say a lot, not all guys) dont like
digital stuff (eh chris?)
I built a synth with DCOs and Waveforms held on prom...

Samplers are somethng that I thought about, but most of the music I like to
write doesnt have samplers in,
the only exception being a good piano sound..

This said, Ive started work on a drum playback module, that will hold
samples on EPROM, though Im not sure if this counts as a sampler.. but its
on its way...
