Vactrol is a brand name of a module that has a photoconductive cell
(photo resistor) and a light source, usually an LED or Neon bulb, sometimes
incandescent. Made by Vactec.

Photo Resistor is generic term for photo conductive cell... made by anyone.

Clairex is a maker of both photoconductive cells and modules.
Hammamatsu also makes these devices.
