the 4558 op amp can be replaced by a TL072, I've had 4558's replaced in my sh-2 and cr-8000 and it is a perfect fit, pin for pin and everything. more knowledgeable types might know if in some applications the 4558 has some special performance specs that the TL072 don;t match, but I'm pretty sure it'll do the trick. eduardo
