I guess when 24dB flanks are the "rule" for 10 band vocoders 50dB for a 20+
band vocoder is not to far off. Some large commercial vocoders used 50+ dB
too.
Phase relation is important so you probably need to add some allpass filters
to compensate, doable but more than likely not easy. But he said to like the
side effects form a large real analogue vocoder, that should include; big,
bulky, difficult to calibrate, expensive and temperature stability
problems,..
On the other hand, the blessings from Digihell; unwanted artifacts, sounds
cold instead of cool and not less difficult to design if you wana do it
right,..
