I haven't been following this thread closely but I think the original poster
wanted (among other things) a way to turn 24ppqn into various divided down
ppqn's.
Once, as an exercise, I successfully reverse engineered the Blacet MIDI
clock chip into a PIC16F84. I then designed a companion PIC16F84 based
divider that would take the 24ppqn pulses and output divide by 3, 6, 12, 2,
4, 8 and 24 pulses on various pins. Also a step switch would roll through
the divider list to output one of the dividers on a special pin. All output
was synced to MIDI start, stop, and continue.
It's a simple program and I don't remember if I actually tested this in
hardware but it was heavily simulated with MPLAB so it oughtta work. Both
projects were coded using the free CC5X (a great compiler, IMO).
If anyone is interested in this code, let me know.
