I did not know you could do this as each FF will divide by two. Three
FFs gives you a divide by eight. A more typical approach is the 4018.
The data sheet for the MIDI-Sync chip on our web site shows a circuit
using the 4018. More info is in Don Lancaster's "CMOS Cookbook" .
