I had a talk with a guy from yamaha germany and another from roland
germany on exactly this question. The problem ain't the copyright. Noone
would like this more than the companies themselves. The problems are
exclusive service contracts, that the companies did with service shops
in the late seventies; these contracts are often done over an unlimited
time range. If such a shop wants to spite the company the site which
provides the schemoes is the silly one...
