But save yerselves some troubles, kids... and don't make half-wave power
supplies unless you are powering something REALLY small. The reduction of
the filter caps alone (or the same size works better) is worth it.  If you have
a
non center tapped transformer and you make a bipolar power supply, chances
are good it will be half-wave.
