[sdiy] Vocoder sound?

Most of the effect on the voice is caused by "timestretching" (a DSP 
process - the stuttering effect is due to 'misuse' of something designed 
to lengthen sound without changing it's pitch) which is usually done with 
a sampler or computer... although I’m sure there some of our dear list 
members who would attempt it with a soldering iron ;)
