Here we go.
Audio signals can be transmtted sas Voltage ore current.
NEarly all audio systems use Voltage to transmit signal and there is nearly no current flowing.
To acheive this the output resistance of our gear must be low and the input impedance low.
The poweramp actually has a stage which converts the voltage signal into a current signal to drive the low input resistance of most speaker. But what is really required here is power which is current and voltage.
Does that make sense?
