[sdiy] technoboll*cks and outrageous claims (and very OT)

Hi list,

I stumbled across this website during a moment of boredom:

http://www.synhouse.com/

and, in particular, take a look at this page:

http://www.synhouse.com/midijackdinsync.html

Read the paragraph that starts "Since the introduction of MIDI...".

I haven't had such a laugh in ages. Talk about exaggerated claims. And to
think people get taken in by this crap.

"With the MIDIJACK DINSYNC, the analog drum machine / sequencer can receive
the clock pulse while the slow-moving MIDI message is still in the MIDI
cable!"

"machined aluminum iridite mounting brackets!"

"and a button switch rated to withstand over 500,000 presses!"

And, above all:

"Synhouse has developed Accelerated MIDI for use in professional music
applications. Accelerated MIDI utilizes a combination of digital sampling
techniques and computerized numerical data filtering processes!"
