Hi everyone,
I have a schematic for the ARF (Aural Research Facilities) Gate Delay
v1.00. This was designed by Ric Miller. It's pretty simple... works by
charging/discharging a cap through 2 pots. One for the "On delay" and one
for the "Off Delay". The signal then gets sent through a comparator to
create the gate out.
Has anyone ever built this circuit, or something like it? I'd like to
build a voltage controlled gate delay, and was wondering if this is a good
place to start my experimentation. Unfortunately, I can't find this
particular schemo online anymore... All I have is a copy I printed. I
could scan it and post it on my server temporarily if anyone wants to see
it. Also, does anyone have contact info for Ric? All the links online
seem to be dead.
Also, if anyone has links to different ways of creating a gate delay, I'd
love to see them. Weren't "Delay" controls available on the envelope
generators in some popular commercial synths? How was this generally
achieved?
Thanks in advance,
Dave Magnuson
