On the topic on DIN Sync cables, another nice hack you might want to try is
to add a Run/Stop switch to your cable.

I picked up a little project box at R*dio Sh*ck and put a toggle and a
momentary on it. Then I wired them to the RUN signal (cant remember which
wire# at the moment). When either switch is closed, the run signal is passed
through, else it is open circuit...

This gives you an easy way to stop your 606 or 303 without having to stop
the main clock source. One problem with the 303 and 606 is that you cant
switch banks while playing(yes, you can switch patterns, but not banks).

The momentary switch is fun for doing breakbeats on the 606.
