Surely you mean 'National Semi-conductor Lampoon'

You're right though, its pretty awful. They did make an improvement I
believe, longer registers and it may have been pin-pin replacement too.
Bet it still sounded terrible.

But what if you clocked the BBD with the MM5837... that might make a
great noise source :-)
