LOL....   If a BBD was a bowl of pig-piss... the MM5837 would be
a bowl of SCORCHED pig-piss....

Lose this awful chip.  I can show you a circuit that will replace it and
works
MUCH better. Ask offlist and I'll e-mail it.  I used it to replace this chip
in
my Prophet V.

My bitch with the chip... you can easily hear the repeat... tick tick
tick...
$3800 for the most advanced synth of its day... and the noise goes tick tick
????

Now most list members know WHY the manufacturers used this chip... its
a lot easier than selecting noise trannys... BUT its the most unmusical
piece of...

OK. Its worse than a BBD. If I had to be stranded on a desert island with
a BBD or the MM5837 you know what I'd take.... ?

Poison.   The BBD would be my second choice...
