R.F. "carrier" is actually quite common on AC power lines in the US at
138,000 volts and above.  Frequency ranges are 75-200Khz.  It is blocked at
the ends of the power line with simple tuned wave traps that are almost
invisible to the 60Hz (big coil, little cap)  :).
