[sdiy] pitch to voltage

Just for the record the
PV-1 is "based on the Etherwave Pitch to Voltage converter by Bob Moog, used
with permission". Bob was nice enough to sanction me making PCBs for our
DIY community.
I did modify the circuit, the gate is done differently, and I changed the order of'
the states of the conversion, so that an external reset would put the unit in hold
mode, rather than reset.
The circuit is not new, the 360 systems slavedriver had the same method. But
since Bob Moog had the circuit on paper already, why re-invent the wheel ?
I use it all the time on Theremin (along with a Wiard Mini-Wave as a quantizer).
People have also used it to convert continuous waves (perhaps from a V/Hz
oscillator) into V/oct output.
I have plugged a guitar into it... you will not like it unless you like lo-fi... in
which
case you might love it !!!
