Hi Kris...

I'd go with TL072 and LM1458.  Right... thats two opamps.

they share the same package outline... if you use sockets (I like the
Amp Diplomate series) you can swap them back and forth.

The TL072 is a nice fast opamp good for audio, fet input, nice high
input
impedance.

The LM1458 is a slow, virtually indestructable opamp... good for driving
voltages
even into short circuits without failure (it will get rather hot...)

Then you can switch back and forth.

You can also use the slow, but low noise 4558 opamp in that same socket.
