This reminds me of a glossary I saw in an audio magazine years ago:
MONO -- a mild form of hallucination wherein the subject imagines he hears
sound coming from a box.
STEREO -- a more advanced form wherein the subject imagines he hears sound
coming from between two boxes.
QUAD -- terminal mono.
