Hi Scott and all,
You co-designed the OP-37... I am humbled. I used to use that op-amp
more than any when I worked for an instrumentation company. Great little
IC. I still have a drawer full of the things. But, and correct me if I'm
wrong, I think the 5534 has a higher open loop bandwidth which makes it
more suitable for audio. But to my ears it they both sounded the same in
the Riaa amp I had.
I remember doing a composite op-amp from a LM394 pair at the front and
the OP-37 at the rear. Now did that thing fly, flipping expensive
though, so I ended up using a NE5539... I was using it as an fibre-optic
preamp for a remote transputer array. Ah, them were the days.
