AC specs for the OP-37 and 5534 are similar. OP-27/37 have better DC
specs - higher open loop gain, lower input bias currents, lower offset
voltage, drift, etc. Low frequency noise is lower too, due to a lower
1/f corner frequency.
As an audio device, the 5534 and OP-37 are pretty similar. The OP-27/37
also have the characteristics of a high precision instrumentation opamp.
When we introduced it (I was co-designer) we billed it as the first
"triple threat" opamp (high precision, high speed, low noise).
The OP-37 is a decompensated OP-27, stable in gains of 3 or more.
