That goes ditto for electric shock... a lot of people have died not from
the non-lethal shock... but from the lethal fall from a height, jumped in
front of a forklift, got in the way of the robot, etc...

I remember a hot chassis guitar amp. It was on... and the rack unit I was
removing was "off" so I'm safe... right ?

Wrong. As soon as the sneaky ground path through the rack was gone... I was
the new ground path. So I stopped to think... move too quick and I trash this
rack unit. Stand here and I fry... ahhh... I'll use the old magic trick of
moving my
hands so fast... the rack drops right where it is and my hands go free..

Worked too... except for the missing skin on the back of my knuckles.

I told the bass player (who owned that amp)... Your amp tried to kill me... it's

out of here.. OK ?  Get a new amp.   He did... some other poor fool is probably
now dead from it...
