[sdiy] David Tudor

I'm look for more specific technical information on the modules that David
Tudor and Gordon Mumma built and used years ago. There are a lot of vague
references to be found on the web but I have not had any success in finding
anything technical.

There is frequent reference to a Neural Synthesizer, what ever that is. What
is it?

I have see pictures of his setups. Lots of commercial mixers, stomp boxes
and unidentified homebrew boxes. What are the homebrew boxes?

Last month I went to a Merce Cunningham performance of "Rainforest" at the
University of Washington. The setup included some commercial mixers, stomp
boxes and again custom unidentified boxes. One thing, there were several
small DAT's. Could the piece be prerecorded?

"Rainforest" was a total disappointment but "Biped" alone was worth the
steep price of admission.

Can any SDIY's tell me about the Tudor/Mumma boxes or steer me to a useful
resource? And, neural synthesizers?

Thanks,

John
