The area I live is one big tourist attraction. We have acres of so-called
"antique" stores, despite laws determining what is actually an "antique".
So we've seen lots of things go from mere collectors item to "the latest
thing to speculate on". It would appear that some of these old synths are
already moving in that direction.
I read Peter Hoving's book about art forgeries. People in your line of work
have to be VERY careful. I'm just waiting to see a fake Moog modular system.
I envy your job. I always wanted to live in a museum after seeing the
Smithsonian as a child. Almost felt like "Christ at the temple". Right at
the moment I'm surrounded by a mountain of old stuff.
