[sdiy] Soldering Saftey Tip Reminder

    This is mostly for the people here who are new to soldering....

    Wear those saftey glasses while soldering!

    I was wiring up the power for my synth today, and one of the wires
flipped off of the pin, and sprayed solder in my face.  Not fun in any
case, but, right in the center of the lens of my glasses for my right
eye is a nice big blob of solder.  I have to wear glasses anyway, but I
think back to my younger days, when I didn't need glasses.

    Anyway, if you don't need glasses, get something to wear while
soldering.  I now have to go down to Longs Drug store to get a new pair
of 3.00 diopter glasses, which is a lot cheaping than my co-payment at
the emergency room.
