I can see it now:
- Several people would suggest improvements to the exponential
converter.
- Some would complain about the use of exotic parts.
- Others would suggest part substitutions for better stability.
- Some would swear that it doesn't sound as good as their vintage
model.
- Others would say it sounds better.
- Someone would offer double sided PCBs, but
- No one would be able to agree on a front panel layout.
- Everyone would argue whether to use 1/4, 1/8, or banana jacks.
- Someone would offer to post the manual.
- Then we'd all discuss the best format to publish the manual.
- Then some guy would complain that he owns copyright to the manual,
and require everyone to pay for it, then ship it out a page at a time
over
several years.
- Doepfer announces the availability of G-101.
