I haven't seen any schematics or service manuals for building one.

All know is that on the commercial ones you need to be particularly careful
with the software. In some cases it is not very user friendly.

Most come equipped with dual floppies. Some like hard drives.

How do we know that commercial ones are not in this group? Oh well, equal
opportunity offender.
