Be aware that modifying classic instruments, considerable reduces their
resale value. Classic instruments are valued for their imperfections which
give them their characteristic tone.
I learned this the hard way by extensively modifying an ARP 2600. When I
wanted to resell it, I had to go back and remove all the modifications in
order to sell it.
