Hi Everyone -
I'm currently replacing the jacks in my 2600 and I figure that while I'm
in there I'll take care of a couple of other things. I'd like to get
some opinions on a few things:
First, I'm going to replace the 301 op-amps as several people suggest.
I'm trying to decide what to replace them with. I've been thinking of
using LF351s, but I'm wondering if anyone has better suggestions. I've
heard that the 351 doesn't have as high an output drive as some other
op-amps. Is this an important factor?
Also, I've heard the suggestion that I replace the ceramic disc caps
with higher quality ones. Any suggestions for a replacement? Should I
just use Polyester or Mylar or something?
Thanks,
Tim
