Just guessing here, but it might even work "better": Switching off the cap
in
an OTA filter with feedback means removing the compensation capacitor of
an opamp (sort of critical). Removing the cap from one of the first 3 stages
of a 2044 means just leaving a pair of current mirrors. Can't say for sure,
but I'm confident to say try it.
