I have used BC549s in my TB3030, and I have never come up against any CV
breakthrough. But this is probably because modern BC549s are indeed more
closely matched than the tatty little 2SC945s on my SH2000. However, the
TB303 does not really stretch the filter that much, so perhaps over the
limited range it operates over, breakthrough is tolerable.
