I suppose that, if negative feedback reduces distortion, then positive 
feedback has to increase it! Suprising we don't see this more often
in distortion fx.
A very easy way to do this is to have a two transistor amplifier and
put a resistance in series with the power supply....which is doubtless
why some people say their distortion fx box sounds better with a 'flat' 
battery!
