I was curious and looked into my SH-2000 schemos.

Big surprise: A *transistor* ladder is shown, and it has almost
the same crappy single opamp differential amp as the Formant
Pro. No wonder when *this* version cannot be balanced with
matched transistors ...

But your SH-2000 definitely has a Diode ladder ?
There must be different versions then (as in other early Roland
synths.)
