Haven't seen Quadra schemos on the web, but I have the phaser section
redrawn (and modified) on my homepage.

I don't think either. But it's the most economical design for many stages
(2 transistors + 2 caps / stage). Overhead for input / output / feedback
/ compander is huge, though. So it only makes sense for "long"
phasers. (Or for something else I won't speak about yet (;->).)
The EMS Hi-Fli used a phase shifter made from diodes parallel

Not quite. Ordinary opamp AP stages, with diode strings where the
variable R part would be.
