Hi Florian,
One (high frequency) master clock means almost as much modification as any
other
approach - ok, no PLL, but drilling holes, using buffers, dividers and
protection
circuits. (My father used to say I got two left hands, so the mechanical
part is the
biggest portion for me anyway. (;->))
Most of my system runs with ordinary gate signals anyway. Both Midi and Din
Sync
are the exceptions.
A master clock without PLL will hard sync everything. So much of the warmth
of
my Dynacord delays would be lost. A PLL allows for adding modulation, at the
capacitor of the loop filter.
