[sdiy] SN76477...What to do?

A few months ago, I came into several of these. Anybody got any ideas
on what to do with them? I found some old app sheets and played around
a bit, but have been generally underwhelmed. Seems there should be
quite a bit of potential here. I've been looking for a schem of the old
Blacet Syn-bow, but have come up empty handed. All ideas appreciated.
