There is a similar device in the AR-317 VCO. It isn't mentioned in
the parts list of the AR-317, but the "theory of operation" describes
it as:

"a series of carefully selected and temperature compensated
components which have been potted together as part of the printed
circuit board. The effect of this potted block is to create
exponential currents in R13 and R31 as a function of the voltage at
the junction of R8, R10 and R11."

There were some similar (but not the same) looking modules made
by Dynasyn Corp., (based in the same State as Aries). There's a
brief article in Electonotes #45. I'll scan it for you later.

> Also, the module 329 Flanger has a part called PD10 with no other marking.

The AR-329 was designed by Dennis Colin, who also did a lot of
work with ARP. ARP made a phaser using a diode ladder, and the
AR-329 looks like it is a diode ladder too. There's a scan of the
ARP 14 phaser out there somewhere.

I hope that helps...
