Yes, although timbre modulation always sounds weaker than dynamic filtering
to me.

It's pretty hard to describe. Very strong high freequencies and a big
variety of sounds. Probably most useful with filtering.

I've recorded some sweeps I could put up. The timbre changes are a bit too
rapid to allow the ear to focus on any one sound, but the original file is
still 5 MB. With crummy MP3 compression I got it down to about 350k.
