Hi All --
I have put up new pages on my website describing two waveshaper circuits.
The first writeup describes the Double-Pulse Waveform Generator that I have
had in my modular setup for many years. It is based on the core circuit that
was presented in Electronotes #72 and #73. It adds voltage control of the
weighting of the positive and negative pulses in addition to voltage
controlled pulse width.
The second circuit, the Wavolver, is new. It has two basic functions. First
it deforms a triangle wave into an antisymmetric pair of pulses by
"shorting" the output signal to zero whenever the triangle amplitude's
magnitude is below a voltage threshold. Second it allows an evolving series
of folded waveforms to be added during the "shorted" sections. This part of
the circuit was inspired by the wave folder recently described by Juergen,
except that its diode string is driven by the control input rather than by
the signal input, and it generates the folded sections directly rather than
by distortion of the signal.
