Greetings, web doctors. Has anyone successfully downloaded these manuals?
I've tried two different browsers and all I get is a frame full of HTML. I
thought I'd be clever and swipe the address of the file from the code and
download THAT but that doesn't seem to work, either. In fact, it appears
that the files at
http://storm.prohosting.com/~rolandj2/jp8manual.ZIP
and
http://storm.prohosting.com/~rolandj2/jp8service.ZIP
ARE just some HTML, not huge zip files at all. If this is some sort of
anit-hacking scheme it's working brilliantly...
Now that I look again I see some .rar files that appear to be downloadable.
Hmm. Well that would take care of the service manual but the user manual
still has the same problem...
BTW, the menu frame won't fit unless you open the window to almost the
entire 1024 pixel wide screen but that's a secondary problem. I just
thought I'd ask the list before I email the site owner and tell him the bad
news--or stick my foot in my mouth, as the case may be.
