Another method for doing printed paper panels is to glue the paper only to
the metal panel and trim the edges (I use an exacto to get a very neat,
close trim). After the panel glue is dry, take a satin urethane spray in a
can and coat the panel with several very light coats of spray. When
completed, this does not leave a glossy laminated look. Instead, it looks
and feels more like a painted metal. I used this method to do some on-offs
to match my MOTM panels. I cannot take the credit for the method though.
That belongs to Ken Tkacs. I can post some photos to my web site if anyone
is interested.

Laminated:
Take the printed sheet to a commercial laminator. They will pressure-seal it
between to sheets of thin plastic. The results are glossy, and look pretty
sharp BUT they tend to peel around the corners.

Covered with contact:
School book stick on clear plastic covering. A strip of this is stuck to the
printout and burnished on using a soft cloth. The result is stuck to the
aluminium panel, then trimmed with a very sharp knife from behind. The
result is more matt finished, and not as clear as laminating.
